Small business owners are working to do something about the economy with a new grassroots’ effort. Make a Referral Week is an entrepreneurial approach to stimulating the small business economy one referred business at a time. The week is planned for March 9th-13th, 2009.
The goal for the week is to generate 1000 referred leads to 1000 deserving small businesses in an effort to highlight the impact of a simple action that could blossom into millions of dollars in new business. Small business is the lifeblood and job-creating engine of the United States and organizers believe this positive effort will help highlight the strength of small firms.
Bob Burg, author of Endless Referrals, is involved and talked with SBTV.com about the power of referrals. Another small business guru, John Jantsch, known as ‘The Duct Tape Marketer’ also highlighted the business boost of referrals in a video interview now playing on SBTV.com.
Business owners are being asked to go online and make a referral pledge and spread the word! The week long virtual event will also feature daily education programs focused on teaching small business owners and other marketers how to tap the power of referral marketing—including SBTV.com CEO Susan Wilson Solovic.
