Another company is offering military veterans a way to own their own business. The Maid Brigade Veterans Franchise Giveaway wants to reward as many as 100 qualified veterans who have what it takes to own a business.
The $1.5 million dollar Maid Brigade is one of many franchise programs aimed at recruiting military veterans to become franchisees.
“Military veterans have done so much for our country,” Don Hay, company founder and chairman, said in a release. “This year on Veterans Day, we want to show them our appreciation by giving them their own business, a new career and comfortable lifestyle.” Hay says some 10 percent of the company’s franchise owners are veterans. “We really like our vets,” he said. “The skills they possess, they’re proven as franchise owners.”
On November 11 — Veteran’s Day — Maid Brigade will choose up to 100 qualified vets for prizes.
Applications must be submitted online no later than September 30th, 2009.
The grand prize, or Gold Award, is a Maid Brigade Select Market Franchise – valued at $45,000 – which includes: a $14,500 franchise fee; a $3,000 equipment package; $27,500 in working capital; and a one-week, all-inclusive training program at Maid Brigade headquarters in Atlanta, airfare and hotel provided.
There are also Silver and Bronze Awards, plus waived franchise fees for up to 100 qualified entrants. For more details on the contest, http://www.maidbrigadegiveaway.com/
